Is the pottery microwaveable?
Yes! All of our pottery is made for every day use, and is safe in the microwave.
Is the pottery dishwasher safe?
Yes! All of the pottery is dishwasher safe.
Can I put pottery in the oven?
If you want to use your pottery in the oven, you need to preheat the oven with the pottery inside. We do not advise using the broil option while pottery is in the oven.
Is the pottery lead free?
Yes, the pottery is food and drink safe, lead free.
Are all of the pieces identical?
No. Since each piece is handmade, and glazed by hand, each piece will have its own unique qualities.

How long will it take to get my order?
We make each piece when you order. Each order, unless otherwise noted, has a 2 week turn around time. Our mug collection lists one of a kind mugs that have already been produced, so they will ship more quickly.
What if a piece of pottery breaks?
In the off chance that the pottery is broken upon arrival, please take a picture immediately, and send an email to acornpottery@gmail.com. We will replace the broken pottery at no cost to you. If your pottery breaks later on down the road, you may purchase similar replacement items at our online shop.
Is every piece really handmade?
Yes! From the time the clay is cut by hand, weighed out, thrown on the wheel, formed, set to dry, trimmed, loaded in the kiln, waxed and glazed, and loaded in the kiln again…your potters hands have interacted with your piece many times and over a period of weeks.
